Correspondence
Correspondence from the RSGB.
Mon, 06/06/2005 - 5:22pm — wynneCorrespondence has been received from the RSGB.
First a letter dated the 27the April addressed to Club Secretary’s. This letter assumes by implication that all club secretaries are members of the RSGB in so much as they state that they are looking for ways to enhance benefits of club affiliations to the Society. The second paragraph states that the society are to stop sending a copy of the Rad-Com to affiliated clubs in October 2005, because they reckon the majority of club members are members of the society and the club copy is not read. In its place they intend to send a RSGB Year Book. (CVARC Secretary’s Comments: The Rad-Com that we receive is read and that is the only way that the club secretary can reasonably keep up with current information and also the possibility of speakers for the club. By implication the Year book is going to be at least 6 months out of date.)

Dave has always supported me well during his time as DRM, in club visits, rallies etc & I am very grateful for his support & will thank him more formally in due course. Dave has kindly agreed to continue running the Region 6 website for the time being. (If you have updates on club officers & I know NWRS & Mold&DARC have changes, pls inform Dave via dave@daveevans.me.uk
